Description
This is a portrait of a friend. Tried to challenge myself with a different background. Also, kept it more painterly than usual.This is the first time I have painted someone who is not Caucasian. It was fun!
Linking to PNG image of fullversion as JPEG was insanely pixelly for some reason. Any tips on that?
As usual, free-hand in Painter 8.

Superb. Only thing I would request is the light coming from the upper left corner be a tad more intense, just enough to lead the eye from there thru the composition with a slight value shift, breaking up the large negative space - just a TAD, tho...
