Description

Having a little fun with the TV and my husband.
Practicing with two light sources.
Free-hand, live ref, Painter 8, and pen. Photo ref on dog from years ago.
Not the beautiful fantasy art everyone else does, but hope it will give you a smile.

Thanks!

P.S.
Can anyone help explain why my pics look so dark? They are not this way until I upload them. Since I started using PNG I have had trouble. Advice appreciated.
You can see the difference. The full version is a JPEG and the detail is a PNG.

Really well done, the perspective, mood. My only crit would be his left arm,(to our right)maybe it should have as strong of a light bouncing off of it as his legs do.Very good though.

Nice :)
It shows you have a good sense of colour/anatomy

My only crit would be the lightsources, the yellow light that lits the socks would have some influence on the floor/chair as well, now it only seems to affect the character :)

Hey thanks! You know, I kept thinking there would be more of the yellow light on the chair. It's a dark blue leather one in my house. I just didn't see it but I think I could have added more anyway. Appreciate the input. I have a really hard time adding what I DON'T see although the dog head was easy (tee hee). My poor husband probably really has that expression on his face after this painting. He's really a thin guy and a sweet puppy. "Here, honey. Want to go bye-bye? No, not on MY FLOOR!"

Good laugh! Nice work. One thing however: The details in the doghead don't quite match the detailing in the body. Because of the two painting styles the head doesn't really become part of the body. The dark effect gives the picture a strong mood, I actually like it, it's like it was planned.

Funny!
Also - I love the hands.

Approve of the texture - quite better than your previous "smoothly polished" pictures.

It somewhat bothers me that it's a perfectly human body with a perfectly dog head. The artist's clever, I admit, she covered most of the neck with big ears. :) Otherwise, it would have been a problem - you can't stick two parts together without having to adjust the whole. Here she got away with it, so glory to her - but it can't work every time. :)
